What medicines are used to treat infertility in women?Answered By Isabel Tagge The human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) is the medicine prescribed for women who do not evaluate because of pituitary gland problems. It acts directly to the ovaries in order to enhance ovulation. Other ovary-stimulating medicines such as the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and gonadotropin-releasing hormone (Gn-RH) are also given to women with fertility problems. Such medicines come in the form of body injection. The Metformin is used to treat women with high levels of male hormones which stop the body from ovulating. Sometimes it is also combined with FSH to effectively treat infertility. On the other hand, Bromocriptine is used for women having ovulation problems that are caused by high levels of prolactin, the hormone that is responsible for milk production. keywords: Infertility | Fertility Pregnancy | ICSI | IVF | In Vitro Fertilization | sperm | Reproduction | Medicine
